They were having a quarrel and had no reason to care if humans were hurt. The lodge caught on fire and her whole family rushed out to the lake, having a hard time seeing. During the fight of the two races, family was slaughtered except for her. She was left with horrific bites of a werewolf. In her shock, she floundered around until going into the forest. There a vampire attacked her without knowing she wasn't a werewolf thanks to all the smell on her. Melissa then became a two races in one body.

personality: She tries to stay away from other creatures of the night and angels as best she can and would rather hide in her human form than run around as a wolf. Hard to earn trust, but will stay loyal once earned. Thoughtful thinker and can be over worried about the smallest things. Always looking for danger and will be a pessimist or optimist depending on situation.


weakness: Silver and fire because they are what can kill her. Unfortunatly, she's not that scared of fire and feels at home around it. She likes the looks of silver, but always forgets it hurts her. Melissa also tries to stay away from any large stakes since she's not so sure if it will kill her or not. Any water in large amounts will terrify her because since she was a kid, drowning is something she wouldn't prefer to have done to her.

strengths:Almost an unnatural speed for werewolf kind, but this is where her vampire blood comes into play. She excels at seeing in the dark and can hold her breath abnormally long for werewolves as well. Great at biting through objects, but regular strength at lifting things and ripping apart items. She can fight with a sword very well. Melissa is very adapt at making her self unseen and attacking out of nowhere when needed. She can also spot many things that others can't.
